ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR WEDNESDAY, MARCH 3RD
"CHANGE" THE WORLD NIGHT THIS WEDNESDAY NIGHT
We have one incredible night in store for our Awana clubbers. And I hope ALL clubbers can participate in this great opportunity to GIVE to another Awana club thousands of miles away from us. We are praying for our clubbers to raise $500 in this one night of giving to sponsor an Awana club in Kothavalasa, India at Christ Church. KIDS BRING ALL THE CHANGE YOU CAN FIND!!! Parents you can help as well with dollar bills or writing checks. LET'S REACH OUR GOAL TO SPONSOR AN AWANA CLUB FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR!!!
AWANA VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
I am asking for you as a parent of an Awana clubber to come experience the JOY of serving in our ministry. Don't have the spiritual gift of teaching? NO WORRIES! As you see below, there are other great opportunities for you to help serve in our Awana ministry! Here are some of our immediate needs:
- Trek Leaders!! - our new 7th and 8th grade ministry is in need of adult leaders to help us out with games and small group times. Come over to the Rock on Wednesday nights and have some fun while still helping our teenagers share in small group time. We don't start Trek until 7 PM so you can even worship in main service before coming over!!
- Hall Monitors - this is a simple task of helping keep our kids safe by monitoring water and restroom breaks both upstairs and downstairs.
- Cubbies Helpers - this is our 3 and 4 year old club, and we need some great adults who love the "little ones" to come help out in the nursery area on Wednesday nights.
- T&T Boys Leader - we are in need of good fathers, grandfathers, or just guys who love kids (especially boys) to join us on Wednesday nights with our 3rd through 6th grade boys. They are highly enteraining, and energized! This is where I started in Awana - and it is a GREAT EXPERIENCE!!
- Greeters - not too comfortable in helping in classrooms? We are looking for greeters to help welcome new families that come on Wednesday nights. Show our new friends around the children's building, and make them feel welcome.
- Snack Helpers (Cubbies and Sparks) - we are looking for parents who simply assist with passing out snacks during handbook time in Sparks and also in Cubbies.
If you are interested in any of these roles, email me at rogers@ffc.org and I'll get you more information. We our course have opportunities for both Cubbies and Sparks, and even our new middle school club Trek! We'll get you plugged in where you think you can best serve the Lord.
DONTATIONS FOR WINTER NEEDED
I am asking all parents and other adults to help donate items to our Awana year this year. We are in need of snacks for every Wednesday night. The appropriate line of snacks are:
- Ritz crackers
- Cherios
- Goldfish crackers
- Pretzels
If you can help us out by making a commitment to donate one bag of snacks per month, that would be wonderful!
We have turned our loft area upstairs into a super-cool kids hangout, but we need more items! If you want to donate to help our new First Kidz Loft out, we are looking for:
- Video game systems (XBox, Nintendo Wii, etc)
- Board Games (kid appropriate only)
- DVD's (Kids movies(
- Couches
- Furniture
- Lamps

We also are asking for toy donation for our Awana store this year. If your clubbers have any unwanted toys that are still in decent shape, please bring them up to church and we will sell them at our Awana store for the kids.
