ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR OPENING NIGHT - SEPTEMBER 1ST
JOIN US FOR FAMILY WEEKEND - PROCEEDS TO GO AWANA
We have planned a FABULOUS family weekend experience for you and your loved ones beginning Friday night, August 6th and going all the way through Saturday, August 7th. Friday night you will get to have family photos, share in a wonderful family dinner, then enjoy our special guest TEAM XTREME as they show amazing feats of strength to you while sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Then Friday night you and your family are invited to join us on our FFC field for an overnight CAMPOUT! We'll make smores, have a big bonfire, and share Bible campfire stories!
Saturday we will have great activities for you and your kids with a family scavenger hunt and famly olypmics!! All to surely excite and impress!! The cost for all of this? ONLY $50 PER FAMILY! And all proceeds will go to help benefit our Awana ministry! We will also have a silent auction going on Friday night through Sunday with some great items up for bid! All proceeds benefit Awana. JOIN US!!!
DONTATIONS FOR AWANA STORE NEEDED
I am asking all parents and other adults to help donate new or slightly used toys, games, and other items for our Awana store that we will be having during our Awana year. Drop off your donations in our children's foyer, or email rogers@ffc.org to work out drop off time and location.
AWANA VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
I am asking for you as a parent of an Awana clubber to come experience the JOY of serving in our ministry. Don't have the spiritual gift of teaching? NO WORRIES! As you see below, there are other great opportunities for you to help serve in our Awana ministry! Here are some of our immediate needs:
- Cubbies Leaders - we need help with our pre-schoolers this year. If you can be a room leader or even a room helper, we need you!
- Hall Monitors - this is a simple task of helping keep our kids safe by monitoring water and restroom breaks both upstairs and downstairs.
- Truth Scripts Leaders - 1st through 6th grade: Help us out over the summer with our kids as they continue to memorize Scripture. A super-exciting summer program you will want to be part of!!!
- Greeters - not too comfortable in helping in classrooms? We are looking for greeters to help welcome new families that come on Wednesday nights. Show our new friends around the children's building, and make them feel welcome.
If you are interested in any of these roles, email me at rogers@ffc.org and I'll get you more information. We our course have opportunities for both Cubbies and Sparks, and even our new middle school club Trek! We'll get you plugged in where you think you can best serve the Lord.
We have turned our loft area upstairs into a super-cool kids hangout, but we need more items! If you want to donate to help our new First Kidz Loft out, we are looking for:
- Video game systems (XBox, Nintendo Wii, etc)
- Board Games (kid appropriate only)
- DVD's (Kids movies(
- Couches
- Furniture
- Lamps
